Door to Door Commission-Based Sales Representative (Independent Contractor)
Window Genie, a Neighborly company, is a nationally ranked home service franchise dedicated to improving the look and value of homes in your community through various services such as window cleaning, pressure washing, holiday lighting, gutter cleaning, and window tinting.
We’re seeking a motivated, experienced Door-to-Door Sales Representative to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you’ll engage directly with residential and commercial customers across Utah County to sell window washing services. Your success in closing deals, building ongoing relationships, and securing renewals will directly impact your earnings — all within a flexible, self-managed schedule. Ideal candidates are driven, organized, and have at least one year of proven door-to-door sales experience.
As Door to Door Sales Reparative you are a key team member in upholding our commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism. You will be expected to be self-motivated, energetic, enjoy helping people, and driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door sales of residential and commercial window washing services
- Use company-approved marketing and pricing materials
- Follow all applicable solicitation, licensing, and permitting laws
- Clearly and professionally explain services, terms, and pricing to customers
- Manage and follow up with customers to secure Year 2 renewals
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales, renewals, and service history
- Maintain confidentiality of customer data
- Work within the agreed fieldwork schedule and coordinate any time-off with the Sales Manager
- Complete drug screening and background check prior to starting
Job Requirements:
- Minimum one year of successful door-to-door sales experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and personality
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Team player who can work independently
- Valid Utah driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation & Commission Structure
- All compensation is commission
Initial Sale Commission
- Paid weekly upon completion of the first service—applicable to both one-time service sales and maintenance plan first-service sales, based on an upfront payment and then True-Up Payments
True-Up Payments
- Applies only to multi-service maintenance plans
- Paid monthly beginning after the second completed service
- Ensures total commission aligns with the actual services delivered
Year 2 Residual Commission
- Applies only when a maintenance plan customer renews for a second year
- Paid monthly based on services rendered during the renewal year
- Contractor must initiate, document, and confirm the renewal to be eligible
